The All Seabee Reunion was started in 1999. The mission of the All Seabee Reunion is to hold a gathering of all Seabees, of all eras, World War II to active duty. The All Seabee Reunion is a family event. The families and friends of Seabees are also invited to attend. Our attendees enjoy bringing their wives/husbands, children and grandchildren to the reunion. The reunion allows the Seabee to share memories and family history with loved ones. From World War II to present day, Seabees have served in the same duty stations and performed the same tasks. No matter what the decade, in war or in peace, Seabees are brothers and sisters in arms.
The original All Seabee Reunion is held each year in Port Hueneme, California. This reunion centers its activities around CBC Port Hueneme. We offer tours of the Seabee Museum and tours of the base. Other base activities have included hands-on tours of weapon training equipment and active duty classrooms. Our attendees enjoy the opportunity to eat in the Mess Hall and visit with today's young Seabees. Our hospitality suite is open at the reunion headquarters during most hours of the reunion. This affords our attendees the chance to visit with old friends and make new ones. The reunion ends with our Saturday evening banquet. Our guest speakers at previous reunions have included King Bee, RADM Mike Johnson and Ben Montoya, RADM Retired.
In 2002, it was decided that if one All Seabee Reunion was good...two would be terrific. The All Seabee Reunion in Gulfport, Mississippi was born. Based on the same principles as the original All Seabee Reunion, the Gulfport reunion committee presents an event centered around CBC Gulfport. We offer tours of the Seabee Museum and tours of the base. The local Seabee Days Open House gives our reunion attendees the opportunity to view the equipment and work of today's active duty Seabees. The Friday barbeque and picnic offers the opportunity for Seabees of all ages to share food, memories and sea stories. The Gulfport reunion also offers a variety of local activities and tours. Of course, the hospitality suite is open at the reunion headquarters during most hours of the reunion. The Gulfport reunion comes to a close with the Saturday evening banquet.
The All Seabee Reunion welcomes Seabees who served in all battalions. Many Seabees served in more than one unit. To travel to individual reunions for each battalion is time-consuming and expensive. We invite individual battalions to hold their annual reunions in conjunction with the All Seabee Reunion, Port Hueneme or Gulfport. Some of our battalions alternate between the two venues, giving their east or west coast members the geographical advantage every other year. The following battalions have previously held their annual reunions in conjunction with the All Seabee Reunion: MCB-3, MCB-8, MCB-9, MCB-11, MCB-62, CBMU-301 and CBMU-302. We invite reunion organizers to contact us in regards to holding their annual reunion at future All Seabee Reunions.Join the All Seabee Reunion Mailing List
